Sibenik-Knin County is situated on the central part of the South Croatia. It is the part of the Middle Adriatic, more precisely the Northern Dalmatia. The inland and insular part with 242 islands, islets and cliffs take area of about 3000 square kilometres. Sibenik-Knin County is populated by 113.000 inhabitants, of whom 52.000 live in Sibenik, 15.000 in Knin, 9500 in Vodice, 8600 in Drnis and 4000 in Skradin.
